Live Gubernatorial Debate on September 16th

 

The University of Alabama Center for Public Television & Radio, in association with the University of Alabama Student Government Association, the League of Women Voters, and the University of Alabama Administration will be producing the first of two gubernatorial debates which will air live on Alabama Public Television on Thursday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

The first debate between candidates Dr. Robert Bentley and Ron Sparks will in the University of Alabama’s Moody Music Building concert hall. National Public Radio correspondent and UA graduate Debbie Elliot will serve as moderator.

The second debate will be at 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 in the Auburn University Student Center ballroom. The debates will be broadcast live on Alabama Public Television and at al.com. Free tickets for the September 16 debate will become available to UA students on Sept. 13 on a first-come, first-served basis between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets will not be available at the door, and no tickets will be offered to the general public.
